I was diagnosed bipolar about a year ago, and have been on several drugs. I feel like a drug addict taking drugs, I have tried cold turkey many times, but ended in a severe depression, probably due to the withdrawal and the effects of stressful situations. When a doctor asked me why I do not want to take medication, which can never express what in a way sufficient. I can not register with the Center on Disability at my university without seeing a psychiatrist (and comply with medication) and a therapist. Is this fair? I believe these episodes of depression and anxiety are caused by external circumstances and stress. My theory is that I keep my stress level at a healthy level, I will not be depressed and do not need drugs. Any advice? I'm desperate
